CARE & MAINTENANCE

HELMET CARE

  • Keep the helmet away from petrol, gasoline, or similar petroleum-based products, as they may degrade the shell material.
  • Hanging your helmet on bike mirrors or handlebars may distort its inner liner and compromise the fit and safety.
  • Repainting your helmet can weaken its impact-absorbing capabilities and nullify warranty coverage.
  • Avoid using tinted or dark visors during low visibility or nighttime conditions to ensure a clear line of sight.
  • Never modify the helmet or drill holes into its shell; this directly reduces its ability to absorb impact during accidents.
  • Do not remove or replace any original parts. Every component is precisely designed and tested to function together for your safety.

ALWAYS REMEMBER THE NUMBER ONE RULE

A. CHECK YOUR HELMET FOR PROPER FIT

With the helmet securely fastened on your head, check the following points:

Ensure the helmet lining fits snugly around your entire head. Gently rotate the helmet side to side (as shown with green arrows) to check for firm contact all around. There should be no excessive movement or looseness

Tilt your head slightly forward and ensure the top inner pad of the helmet touches the crown of your head. This confirms that the helmet sits correctly on your head without unnecessary gaps.

Press both sides of the helmet. The cheek pads should be in firm contact with your cheeks. Also, try moving the helmet up and down, if it shifts easily, the fit is too loose.

Hold the helmet firmly and attempt to move it side to side without moving your head. If it slides too easily or doesn’t press against your forehead and sides, consider trying a smaller size.

B. HOW TO WEAR A HELMET

With the helmet securely fastened on your head, check the following points:

Hold both ends of the chin strap and pull them outward to slightly widen the helmet’s opening. This makes it easier to wear the helmet without straining or damaging the interior padding.

Slide the helmet onto your head in a straight motion. Ensure it’s seated comfortably and fully down without forcing it. After that, securely fasten the chin strap.

C. CHECK CHIN STRAP FOR FASTENING

With the helmet on your head & chin strap secured, check the following points:

With the helmet on, pull it upward from the back (as shown by the arrow). If it starts to come off or feels loose, the chin strap isn’t tight enough, or the helmet is too large. Adjust accordingly for a secure fit.

D. ABOUT VISOR (IF PROVIDED)

With the helmet on your head & chin strap secured, check the following points:

  • To maintain a good field of vision, formation of scratches and accumulation of dirt on the visor screen shall be avoided.
  • No organic solvents or material containing organic solvents such as metal polish shall be used to clean the visor.
  • A soft sloth shell be used to wipe the visor for removing dust, dirt etc.

E. DISPOSAL OF HELMET

  • Material used in shell protective liner and visor are recyclable in nature. Once helmet usage is over, dispose it by giving it to near most registered / authorised agency for recycling.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

  • Clean your helmet and visor with lukewarm water and mild soap. Let it air-dry at room temperature, avoiding sunlight and heat.
  • Use a soft toothbrush or cotton swab dipped in soap water to clean corners or dirt buildup gently.
  • Do not use cleaners, paints, stickers, or any chemical treatments; they may damage the shell and reduce safety features.
  • Visors marked “daytime use only” should strictly not be used in dark or low visibility conditions to avoid compromised visibility.
